Orthodontic Specialties
Early orthodontic treatment often improves the prognosis of the teeth as they erupt, help jaw growth issues and could result in a decreased likelihood for the need to have permanent teeth removed.
Orthodontics for Ages 7 to 12
It is recommended by age 7 or 8 that your child be seen by an Orthodontist. This gives us the ability to identify and establish a baseline for early growth of the jaw and eruption of the teeth. We will review your case through a unique consultation experience.
This visit will get your child on the right track and determine if and when it is the right time for orthodontic treatment.
Orthodontics for Teenagers
Does your teen avoid smiling due to crooked teeth? The way someone’s teeth look can have profound negative effects on a child’s self-esteem and social skills.
Most orthodontic patients begin full braces or Invisalign treatment between 9 and 13 years of age. Adolescent years are often the optimal time to treat orthodontic problems.
Invisalign Aligners
Clear aligner therapy can require fewer office visits and is often more comfortable than braces. Invisalign Teen or Invisalign for adults comprise a large part of our practice.
We are a top Invisalign provider. To learn more, check out our Invisalign page to find out if Invisalign is right for you or your child.
Adult Orthodontics
Adult Orthodontics has steadily gained popularity over the past fifteen years. Dr. Gordon has treated patients in their seventies! Adult orthodontics is effective for the treatment of crowded, protruded, crooked teeth, rotated, or spaced teeth.
We offer Invisalign and clear (‘invisible’) braces for our adult patients as well as night guards to help nighttime tooth grinding. In addition, accelerated orthodontics to significantly shorten treatment times is offered via Propel and Acceledent.
